Ding 25

So I hit 25 last night and I went into the abyss. I have to say I was having a blast in there for the little time I was in there. We attack a fort where I DC'ed which sucked. Came back in and fought some more. Then I just went flying around killing mobs and got ganked by a few elyos now and then. You really need to group up when you in the abyss because if not then you will get ganked which sucks.

Also right before I logged for the night I was just flying around and seeing what I could see when I saw an Assassin all by himself so I went and attacked him. It was a long fight that was later joined by two others players both fighting each other. I know the elyos guy was a chanter don't know who the other guy was though. So anyway we were fighting and the assassin was about dead and he started running so I went chasing. I used inescapable judgement (best ability for a templar) and pulled him back to me and killed him. He would have got away with out that move. Then I went back to help on the chanter and he killed us both. I don't know what level the chanter was though because you can't see the other players level which in my opinion is stupid. That is one gripe I have with it, that you can't see the opposing players level, they need to change that. Now it is back to leveling and waiting for my guild to get up to 25 so we can group up and go into the abyss together.

Oh and GMs please change our guild to what we called it instead of Prestige Worldwi it should be Prestige Worldwide.

Farming Sucks

Aether gathering is one of the worst things I have ever done. It wouldn't be so bad if we had longer flight times, but only being able to gather 5 things at a time and it takes about 10 to gain one point is a lot of farming. In fact crafting in general is a big pain in the butt and a hard grind. I would be ok if it was only one gathering skill that you need to be able to craft your stuff but two is a little much. I will still do it because I want the gear that I can make from it but it just takes time and money away from leveling my character and I want to get to max level as soon as possible. Oh well back to the grind.

Wow

I have to say that so far I am enjoying Aion. Coming from War I wasn't to sure in how I would like it and I do enjoy it. Tanking is a lot different in Aion than it is in War because I have to actually plan out what I have to do. Plus there is no more in pulling 8 to 10 mobs at the same time now it is just 1 or 2.

With that being said I can def. feel the grind coming. I need money in that game and a lot of it. Your abilities cost way to much in my opinion. So does crafting. I run out of money very easily in this game.

I am right now a lvl 19 Templar on Trinel. So if you see me running around give me a wave or money or gear or anything else you want.

It Has Begun

Well I got my name and the server we wanted. My name is Blazeric and I am rolling on Trinel server as an Asmo with my alt on Elyos. I will kill all who oppose the might of Blazeric so bow down before.

And so it Begins

Today is the day of character creation. Once I get off from work I will go back to my apartment and create my character. I am excited about it and hopefully my guild and I get on the same server as Asmo. I will post what my Templar looks like later but I can give you an idea on what he is going to look like. He is going to be big, tall, and bald. It should be a good time.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow is the early character creation as well as server select. I just hope that our guild gets on the same server. That we won't have a problem with people not getting on the same server. I wonder how they are going to keep it balanced and such. Should be interesting to see what happens.

What I Fear

You know what I fear about Aion and playing a Templar is that I won't be very good and that I won't understand what is going on. Aion will only be my second MMO and from what I played in Open Beta it was very different than from what I experienced in WAR. My goal as was in WAR was to be one of the best players on the server. I believed I achieved that goal in WAR on my server Gorfang. I think I was one of the best KotBS out there. Now with me switching to Aion I have to learn a whole new system that is way more complicated than WAR is, well at least it seems that way.

I know I just need to play and I will learn what to do and I understand that but still I want to be the best. It is the competitive spirit in me that makes me want to be the best. I know some people are just happy playing but that isn't me, that isn't how I roll. That is one reason why I like PvP because it tests your skills against other players and when you demolish another group it just is a great feeling knowing that those people are cussing your name out in vent. So when you see me out in the Abyss know that if I am an easy kill it won't be that way for long because I will get better and that I will be at the top no matter what it takes. Well I won't cheat, what fun is that.

Watch Out Israphel

for Blazeric Aodh is coming your way. Yes I am going to Israphel server under that name. Well I hope I can have last names, but I am not sure haven't read that far into it. Yes I am keeping the same named I rolled in Warhammer Online because it is an awesome name.

The next question is are we going to roll Asmo or Elyos. We are planning on going Asmo but from what I see on the forums there are a lot of people rolling Asmo on this server and I like being the underdog.

Anyway watch out Israphel for I am coming.

Aion Weekend

So I preordered Aion this Saturday and played it Sunday for a few hours just to get to lvl 10 and check out the flying. It took me about 3 to 4 hours to get to lvl 10 which isn't to bad. I was playing as a Templar on the Trinel server. My name was Aionic for right now on that server. Maybe you saw me running around learn what to do. It is going to take me some time to learn how to play since this is only my second MMO and it seems way different from WAR.

My impressions so far is that it is ok. I don't like that you have to sit to regain health. The flying was pretty impressive and I enjoyed that and the world was well designed and nice to look at. I can see the grind in crafting and money. I think leveling will be a little bit of a grind. Should be interesting.

I know I am playing a Templar in Aion and I know my name. We still haven't decided on a server yet. It is between three right now Zikel, Trinel, and Israphel (I think that is its name). Should be an interesting time when we decide.

Well I am off to learn how to play the Templar on the forums hopefully I will get the hang of it.

Introduction is in Order

Well I guess an introduction is in order for all those people that don't know who I am. Hello my name is Blaze and I will be your blogger through these Aionic Times. Haha get it Aionic Times the title of my blog. Well I thought it was funny. Anyway welcome to my little blog.

This isn't my first blog, I also have a blog on warhammer here. Which I will still kept updated until my sub runs out there and then will keep up to date speriodically (sp?) because you never know I may go back.

Well I will tell you a couple of things about what I will be doing on Aion and why I am coming over. I am coming over from WAR not because I believe Aion is better, on the contrary I haven't even tried out Aion yet but I am one of those people that just enjoy playing games and would be happy playing this or even dare I say WoW or LoTRO. So it isn't I believe Aion to be a better game. I am coming over because of the guild I run with in WAR is coming over. Well a few are and by a few I mean I really don't know how many and a few sounded right.

I already know the class I will be playing. That class is the Templar. I am a tank type of person. I like running in first before everyone else, and also trying to get everyone to focus on me. I like taking a lot of damage and plus I think a tank fits my personailty. I also know I will be rolling Asmodians, not my choice since I like playing the good guys but I am down for it. I am not sure which server we will be on but I will let you know when I find out for sure. If you are Elyos on the server we roll on watch out and be prepared to be dominated by us. I will also post my name when the game starts. I don't want anyone else stealing it in the beginning because I have came up with a good one.
